Formative and Summative Online Assessment of Your Students’ Progress

CDX Light Vehicle  provides instructors with a comprehensive bank of formative and summative assessments which align directly to the CDX content. Students are provided with tests regularly throughout the unit to check their understanding of the material presented. They receive immediate feedback on their proficiency, and explanatory information is provided for each answered question, helping reinforce the key concepts.

Never has it been so easy for instructors to effectively assess student progress and level of comprehension. A detailed online reporting application allows the instructor and student to track progress effortlessly. And students are provided with their own data helping them to develop self-evaluation skills. Lastly, instructors can access the CDX Item Analysis report to see how students as a whole answered each question giving instructors an easy way to identify problem areas that may need remediation or additional instruction.

Topic Group Tests

Students and instructors have access to more than 180 short, fully randomized tests, each with 5 to 10 questions, all designed to confirm a student’s understanding of the content in each of the Topic Groups.

Module Tests

These randomized, 10-question tests allow students to check their understanding of the entire module and prepare them for the more extensive final exams. Drawing questions from the same extensive question banks, students can practice as many times as they like until they feel confident and ready to tackle the final exams.

Final Exams

These comprehensive examinations are based on each of CDX Light Vehicle's main menu categories. Each exam contains 30 to 50 questions, depending on the size of the subject area. Each exam is unique, timed, and fully randomized.

 Reporting

Accountability requirements are growing and managing the learning process means that you need both accurate and timely information. The CDX Reporting module allows you to customize the parameters for the reports you need, when you need them.

Depending on your needs, all CDX Light Vehicle online reports can be saved and exported as .CSV files (for importing into other programs such as Microsoft Excel) – or they can be saved and printed as .PDF files.

Assessment Results Reporting

There are separate reports for each of the four different types of recorded assessments built into CDX Light Vehicle. You can choose which assessments work best in your program, and which to collect a report on.

The report you select could be specific to an individual student; confined to a group of students; or for all students. Each report can also be filtered for any date or for any specific test.

Student Activity Reports

CDX Activity Reports give you the precise and detailed information you need to manage your students’ progress. For example, you can find out:

  • How long your students spend on activities you asked them to perform.
  • How many of your students actually attempted each component of the program.
  • How you can monitor students who are falling behind and intervene before it is too late.

Different students learn at different speeds and in different ways, but now you can see exactly how much time each of your students has actually spent doing the work. This gives you the information you need to manage the student learning process.
